This image was created using OpenGL 2 and is rendered using Ray Tracing. It was created as an assignment for my COSC363 (Computer Graphics) course and obtained a 100% (A+) grade.
The Ray Tracer made here traces rays from the camera towards the scene and uses methods of Refraction, transparency and shadows to light and detail the scene.
In this scene I have placed many objects to display the Ray Tracers functionality, namely, reflections off of the two central objects, refraction through the left most sphere, Transparency through the right most sphere and shadows based off of the two light sources behind the camera (which can be seen in the reflection of the big blue sphere). This ray tracer also includes Anti Aliasing to make edges of the objects softer and less jaggedly.
